Proper Preparation Saves You Money!

You can find a list of my pricing options on my services and pricing page, but the best thing you can do to save yourself money is to follow these easy longarm quilting preparation guidelines.

~ Press the quilt top well and trim off dangling threads.

~ Make sure seams are secure.

~ Staystitch the outside edge to stabilize, especially with bias edges.

~ Make sure borders lie flat. I charge $20 to fix a ruffled border.

~ Prepare backing by making it at least 6 inches wider and longer than the quilt top.

~ Trim off selvages on backing seams to avoid puckering on your quilt top.

Feel Free to Contact Me with Questions.

It is always better to ask before, rather than after you have delivered your quilt to me. Be one of my favorite customers and call ahead with questions. It will save you money and avoid any delays in the turn-around time for your quilt.

Let me introduce you to some of my friends.

Below are several links to websites run by my good friends. I invite you to take a look around and hopefully you will enjoy them as much as I do.

Molly's Mills is a specialty spice company that creates custom spice blends for discriminating palates. If you're a foodie like I am, then give Molly's site a look. Beyond her amazing spice blends, she also guarantees her spice mills against any breakdowns.

Miscellaneous:

I frequently listen to books on tape, CD and my ipod while I'm working.  I love Audible.com and find it to be a great value.  I download a couple of books a month (and even swap with some friends!) and I'm able to use my time more effeciently. If you would like to visit Audible.com you can click on the link.  If you sign up please use my name, tamibradley, as your referring member.

Two of my favorite authors are
Rachel Ann Nunes and Earlene Fowler.  I've had the pleasure of having both of them in my home and they write great stories for all.  I highly recommend them to you.  Rachel specializes in romance and Earlene specializes in mysteries.  If you like a combination of both, try Dee Henderson.
